Role Of Governors

The Governing Body exists to support the staff in ensuring that all children receive the best possible education in a safe, healthy and stimulating environment. We welcome input from parents and value your comments. The Governors can be contacted through the school secretary.

“Give the best, expect the best”

The Governing Body aims to support the Mission Statement of Leavesden Green in striving to create a school that is a safe, caring, happy and an inspiring environment within a framework of trust, respect and shared values for everybody.

We will achieve this through both an active involvement in the daily life of the school, and by working closely with the school’s leadership team to:

  1. set challenging aims and objectives for the school;
  2. agree policies, priorities, and performance targets for accomplishing these objectives; and
  3. to look for evidence to ensure that these objectives are being achieved by asking questions of the whole school.

Our actions will be rooted in the best interests of the school and its pupils.  We will always be prepared to explain our decisions openly and honestly to staff, parents, pupils, government, and anyone in the wider community with an interest in the conduct and standards of the school.

So, who are we?  Below is a list of our Governors and the roles they hold.  Please take the time to say hello if you see them in and around the school.  They would love to hear your views.
